Signium International, formerly the Ward Howell International Group, was founded in 1951 by H. Ward Howell, a director with McKinsey in New York. In 1999, the firm underwent a global rebranding, forming the framework for further expansion under a single global label. Today Signium International is one of the most renowned and respected Executive Search Consultancies worldwide.

The German Partnership was founded in 1978 and is represented with offices in Düsseldorf and Munich.
